The SSG mission is to provide standardized solutions and services in the following areas for mainly industrial operations:
- Industrial technology (mainly documentation of best practice solutions in process industry technology areas as construction, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and surface protection)
- Purchasing and Logistics
- Health, Safety and Environment
In Purchasing and logistics, SSG is maintaining a Product Database jointly used by numerous process industry plants. The Product Database holds some 600,000 unique and unambiguously described process industry items, ie. spare parts, production consumables, etc.
